Maasai Mara is a feature getaway destination known for its vast grasslands spread across the plains, alive with animals that know no other home. It is located to the south of Kenya, at the Kenya-Tanzania border where it extends to the greater Serengeti National Park. The picturesque landscape is characterized mostly by sparse branching acacia trees and wild animals which provide amazing photo ops, especially at dusk and dawn. Disconnected from the rest of the world, a few villages can be found in the Mara usually inhabited by the Maasai people - the indigenous settlers of the region. Maasai Mara also hosts the Great Migration anually where wildebeests make the long treacherous journey across the savanna, from the Serengeti to Mara, in search of pasture - one of the seven natural wonders of Africa.
